Advanced concepts for competitive play.
Card Advantage vs Tempo
Card advantage means having more cards than your opponent. Tempo means keeping them under pressure. You rarely get both at once — you have to choose.
Counter Math
Every card in your hand has a Counter value (0, 1000, 2000). Once you know how much Counter your opponent can muster at most, you can pitch your attacks deliberately above that ceiling.
Reading the Opponent
If your opponent leaves DON open, they either have a plan or they are bluffing. Count their cards, look at the open DON and work out what they could play. That changes how you attack.
